Anderson
Glimpses of
The Andersons . . .
"Ron and
Sunny have been married for more than 35 years and bring with them
many
years of experience in the military and ministry for Christ.
Ron has
been in pastoral ministry since 1973. He has served as Associate
Pastor in a metropolitan congregation, Pastor of a local church, Senior
Pastor of a well established congregation and now an Associate Pastor
at Sylvan Way Baptist Church. Ron also
served as a US Navy Chaplain from 1981 to 1990. He asked Christ into
his life
at the age of eight.
Sunny accepted
Christ as her Savior when she was a young child.
She grew
up in a local Baptist Church in Minnesota learning to serve and minister
for Christ.
Sunny has been active in ministry as a Pastor's wife, Chaplain's wife,
Bible Teacher, and discipler of new Christians. She is also a
Licensed Occupational Therapist (COTA) and has a BS in Health Sciences
from Old
Dominion University.
Together
Ron and Sunny have spent their 35+ years of married life serving
the Lord
and raising their two children, Christine and Corey.
Both children
are married, living in Washington state.
Their daughter
and son-in-law have three
children,
Ryan, Justin and Halla Joy. Their son and daughter-in-law now have
two
children,
Nathan and Katelyn.
The Port of Call is a Ministry extension of Sylvan Way Baptist Church desiring to serve our Military that serve and sacrifice for us. |
